Larry Packer

Fiddler
extraordinaire Larry Packer has rosined up his bow for Lou Reed, Hall
& Oates, Phoebe Snow and others; and in 1969 his band Cat Mother and the
All-Night News Boys scored a Top Ten hit ("Good Old Rock and
Roll") before going out on the road with Jimi Hendrix.
 He
was in The Band's "The Last Waltz" rockumentary (1978), and on
"Saturday Night Live"
in skits with John Belushi. Larry appeared in another
rockumentary, "Festival Express" (released in 2004) based on the 1970 Canadian tour with Sha Na
Na and in the company of The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin and The
Band. The DVDs are available through Amazon.com.

Larry released his long awaited solo CD in
2002, featuring the talents of Steve Burgh, Gary Burke, Jim
Curtin, Mike DeAngelis, Ed Diehl, Mike Dunn, Garth Hudson,
Professor Louie, Tom "Bones" Malone, Scott Petito, Miss Marie
Spinosa and Rob Turner.
