Hi everybody. A couple of months ago while playing in Secaucus NJ with The McKrells, a fellow from Michigan named Ed Sullivan told me a story about how Hair Of The Dog's version of "All Of The Hard Days Are Gone" helped get him through a medical scare involving his wife Karen.
He was very excited that Kevin and I were there talking to him and his lovely (and now healthy) wife.
We were very touched. These are the things that make us feel so lucky.
Don't take life for granted and, in the words of Brian Wilson, "add some music to your
day."
Rego Records, an international Celtic label, has included two Hair Of The Dog cuts and one McKrells cut on their recent compilations
Songs Of Irish Freedom Volume 3 and Favorite Irish Ballads Volume
3. Pretty cool.
By popular demand, our studio album Gaelic Bark is once again available at our shows and through many of our distributors.
Look for a new Hair Of The Dog CD sometime next year. The album will include unreleased tracks from our recent live sessions and cuts from our long out of print CDs
Hair Of The Dog and K9.
As many of you may have noticed, we have been using Scott Apicelli on drums for some of our bigger shows.
In the words of Eamonn McGirr, "The response has been
tremendous." Think of it as Hair Of The Dog on steroids.
And speaking of steroids, baseball season is here. Get out to "The Joe" and enjoy The Valley Cats.
Don't forget that Larry has a fine new solo CD that features Mike singing a great "Danny Boy".
My new solo CD is going well, too. "Folsom Prison Blues" has been so well
received that we have added it to our set list. Look for the long awaited Mike DeAngelis solo CD at the end of the year.
I hope to see you all soon.
