Slow Down
Greetings and felicitations. 2003 really flew
by, didn't it? The older you get, the quicker time seems to pass.
Since most of us enjoy our lives, it's a pity that they should seem to
pass so quickly. I began thinking. How can we get time to slow down?
Remember when we were kids? Everything seemed to take FOREVER. That's
because when we were young, we were forced to do a lot of things that
we hated. Things like school, Sunday school, homework and The
Icecapades were forced on us and time seemed to stand still. On the
rare occasion that we got to do something fun, it whipped by and was
over with before we knew it.
As adults, we structure our lives so that (hopefully) they are filled
with work and recreational activities that we enjoy. I think because
we, as adults, are usually not bored and actually stimulated and
amused, our lives seem to go by so very fast.
My idea is to create situations for ourselves that are boring or even
downright unpleasant. That should bring things to a grinding halt. Try
dating a person with a spastic colon. Why not rent "Death To Smoochy"
and watch it all weekend? Or gargle with thumbtacks, shave your head
with a cheesegrater and then walk through Crossgates Mall wearing
nothing but a diaper? How about a short prison term in Turkey?
You Hittin' On Me?
This web site recently got it's one hundred
thousandth hit. These are actual hits. Most businesses start off with
thousands of hits to make them seem like they are already established
and wildly popular. We started at one and have accumulated our hits
the old fashioned way. Thanks for visiting. Y'all come back now. Hear?
With Or Without You
You can now find out where Mike will appear as a
solo and where Rick will appear with The McKrells. Go to
the Schedule
page and scroll down past the Hair Of The
Dog dates. As with The Dog, dates and times are subject to change
without notice. Call the venue.
Please Go Away
We will soon be announcing our next road
trip/vacation. It will be in 2005. 2005 will be here before you know
it. (see "Slow Down"). Keep watching. You will be pleasantly
surprised.
Five Live In Ohio
Euclid (a suburb of Cleveland) Ohio has hosted
the band for it's Irish Festival. We are now booked to play their
Irish-American Club in February. The people there have been very kind
to us and we are very much looking forward to being the featured act
in their club.

Something really, really cool is in the works.
I'm not allowed to talk about it at this time. I should know for sure
soon. Stay tuned. Be well.
