The Queen Of The Damned (R)
Vampire schmampire. I've never been a fan of bloodsucker films. Lestat (Stuart Townsend)
reawakens and starts a goth band. His lyrics anger other vampires who then come after him.
It turns out that there are "good" vampires and "bad" vampires but it seems that both kinds
kill mortals and each other. I actually enjoyed this cheesy film a bit so any fan of this
style will certainly be entertained. Also starring Lena Olin, Vincent Perez, Marguerite
Moreau and singer Aaliyah who died in a plane crash shortly after this motion picture was
filmed. 101 minutes.

The Quiet American (R)
Set in French Colonial Viet Nam circa 1952, The Quiet American is the engrossing story
of two men, living in Saigon, who are in love with the same beautiful woman. Watching this film,
the audience gets a real feel for the beauty, intrigue and danger of French Indochina and
its
people. All's fair in love and war. It's a pity that hundreds of thousands of
loud Americans will see
Old School and very few will see The Quiet American. Starring Michael
Caine,
Brendan Fraiser and Do Thi Hai Yen. 101 minutes.
